MSUCOM's Statewide Campus System (SCS) is a national Graduate Medical Education (GME) consortium, which creates and delivers education programs for residents, faculty, and other healthcare professionals that comply with the American Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accreditation standards and corresponding licensure requirements. SCS also offers access to a repository of GME-related resources that supports faculty development, professional development, and scholarly activity. SCS also works with community-based hospitals to create curricula to best meet their residents' and fellows' educational needs. To ask additional membership related questions, please click here.

Types of Programs Offered
Residency Curriculum – The SCS works with physicians, residency program leaders, and our partner hospitals to create a resident curriculum that supports hospitals in providing a well-rounded education for their residents. SCS offers resident/fellow education for the following: Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery (ENT), Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Psychiatry, and Urological Surgery. Note - Additional supplemental education for Ophthalmology, Neurology, and Diagnostic Radiology are available through individual departments upon request. Core Education – Through our work with local, regional, and national faculty and organizations, the SCS has developed an array of programs that comply with ACGME’s Core education requirements and meet LARA State licensure requirements for all healthcare professionals.
Faculty and Professional Development - The SCS develops and delivers education and support to MSUCOM Faculty, Core Faculty from SCS member Hospitals, and other healthcare professionals that comply with ACGME requirements and meet LARA State Licensure requirements. In addition, SCS Faculty Development education supports teaching through transformational training, workshops, professional learning communities, and consultation.
MSUCOM-SCS ACGME Regional Hub - Continuing Medical Education – The SCS is an ACGME Regional Hub for its assessment skills development course - entitled Developing Faculty Competencies in Assessment. ACGME's Developing Faculty Competencies in Assessment course includes experiential learning on providing effective feedback and making improved direct observations. The main goal of the course is to achieve the goals of competency-based medical education and drive successful strategies for outcomes-based education forward.

Membership Levels
The SCS has two primary membership levels, the Full Program Membership, and the Core Services Membership. These membership levels are available on a per resident basis and grant additional access to core faculty at no additional charge. For those individuals or institutions only seeking faculty and professional development opportunities or support for Osteopathic Recognition, SCS offers individualized programming at per person rates.
Full Program Membership - Access to a curriculum for hospital residency programs, Scholarly Activities, Faculty, and Professional Development, and Core Resident programs. NOTE: This membership option is only available for the following specialties: Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (ENT), Psychiatry, and Urological Surgery.
