MSUCOM’s Statewide Campus System is an ACGME regional hub for its experiential skill development course entitled Developing Faculty Competencies in Assessment. In 2015, the first regional hub pilot site was launched. The hub model was a resounding success; the ACGME Board approved the Faculty Development course hub model as a strategic initiative. In 2018, MSUCOM SCS became the ACGME's fourth hub site for the course. There are now 17 hub locations developed across the globe.
ACGME’s Developing Faculty Competencies in Assessment course includes experiential learning in providing effective feedback and improving direct observations. This course is designed to help faculty members and leaders achieve the goals of competency-based assessment in graduate medical education (GME).

Overview
Assessment is essential to all education, and graduate medical education is no exception. With the introduction of competency and outcome-based education, and with the ACGME’s current accreditation model that includes the Milestones,
the urgency for high-quality GME programs to meet the needs of learners and the public has grown substantially. This 6-session course will be held Friday from 10 am-2 pm as a webinar with attendance limited to 30 participants. There will be open discussion and breakout room sessions during the webinar, so computer access is highly suggested.
This longitudinal program will happen on 6 Fridays from Noon-4 PM. Our target audience includes all UME and GME faculty, including residency and fellowship program directors, associate program directors, chairs, members of Clinical Competency Committees (CCCs), and any faculty members with major responsibility for the assessment of residents/fellows.
