MSUCOM-SCS ACGME Regional Hub
Assessment is essential to all education, and graduate medical education (GME) is no exception. With the introduction of competency- and outcome-based education and the ACGME’s current accreditation model that includes the Milestones, against which to measure appropriate progress toward competency, the urgency for high-quality GME programs has grown substantially. This six-session web-based course will be offered on Fridays beginning in April, from 10 am to 2 pm. Attendance is limited to 30 participants. The course includes open, robust discussion and breakout room sessions; computer access is strongly suggested.
This asynchronous longitudinal program will include weekly debrief sessions. The course will culminate on June 2, 2022 (7 am to Noon), with a required virtual simulation session.
Our target audience includes all UME and GME faculty, including residency and fellowship program directors, associate program directors, chairs, members of Clinical Competency Committees (CCCs), and any faculty members with significant responsibility for assessing residents/fellows.
